We had a great time. Rustic, but wonderful. Loved the dog visits. Best behaved pet I have ever seen! Mark and Roy were great!

Lothlorean Tree House

My grandchildren and I had lots of fun on our tree house vacation. The tree house was well appointed without being foofy allowing for an adventurous feeling. The caretaker was very helpful. We had a blast and made a lifetime of memories.

Treehouse Getaway

The treehouse is in a beautiful location away from the busy everyday world. Having no service was great, allowing us to really take some time off. We thoroughly enjoyed the hottub and the treehouse keeper was a very nice man ready to help in any way that he could.

Super relaxing and rustic

My husband and I came to the tree house for my birthday and a long needed break from our busy farming schedule. It was perfect for us time. It was awesome to wake up to rooster. Also exploring white salmon and hood river was great.

relax in nature

Everything was clean including the hot tub. Comfy bed upstairs. Well supplied kitchen. Great for a couple who can handle steps. The neighbors are across the way but did not bother us. We enjoyed hearing the rooster & wild birds in a serene setting. My only complaint is an uncomfortable futon & a stereo with a nonworking speaker. Summary: Not fancy but quirky & beautiful.

Hi Noel! Thank you for making time to submit a review. We are very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and the ambience of our tree house. Interesting that the speaker did not work as we just installed and tested before your arrival -- probably a loose speaker-wire connection which we'll fix. I appreciate your pointing that out so it can be addressed. About the futon couch. Yeah. Because of the space limitations, our choices for couch/beds are a bit limited explaining why we have the futon. We do provide a number of throw-pillows for guests comfort, but are actively exploring additional options. Thanks again for visiting us -- We hope you will spread the word among your friends and come visit us again! Roy Conant, Proprietor

Perfect getaway!

We run our own business and needed a place to go so that we could literally "unplug" and relax. Fortunately, we found this amazing place where we could do just that!! We have rented so many places for our limited days off and have never experienced anything like this trip. The tree house is super cozy and had all the essentials. The bed is cozy, there's hot water, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner, the hot tub was definitely a major plus..... Our dog was so happy to run free and have friends to explore with. Roy and Rebecca were so accommodating to our schedule. I have never had anyone take our time frame into consideration like they did. We are beyond thankful to have stayed here and meet people like them. (We only met Roy in person but we felt like we had met Rebecca) She responds quickly and explained things thoroughly. Again, a first for us. We'd love to go back in the winter! Thanks again!!

The treehouse is amazing, beautiful hot tub and we got almost a foot of snow! The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities and more, and make sure you throw in Lawrence Welks' Champagne Dance Time for the full effect. The treehousekeepers are amazing, my car got stuck in the snow and they helped us out for 4 hours until the wonderful Archer towed us out with his tractor. Just great. Really great. All great.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and our equirky music collection! Sorry you had problems with your chains not fitting/working properly. I'll let our treehousekeepers and our neigbhor Archer know you appreciated your help. Perhaps a stay in late spring when the snow is melted and the flowers in bloom would make a good followup visit. :-)

I never leave reviews for anything, not even when amazon sends me a million e-mails asking me to. No matter how impressed I am with a product. But I spent two nights here about a week ago and I can't stop thinking about how amazing it was so I've come here to share. It was about a million times better than I could of hoped for. I can't wait to go back. It's really the most perfect spot for a getaway on a budget though I'd probably spend twice as much just to be able to enjoy it again. Spent a lot of time in the hot tub with candles lit (there were some provided and lanterns too) and by the fire. Sipped wine (wine glasses also provided) on the little table on the porch while taking in the feeling of being out in nature, watching the sun set. Then the bats came out which was really neat! but if you want them to go away you can just turn on the light for a little bit. We also saw some deer. Like another reveiwer said, great tape selection ... listened to the best compilation of ramones songs while grilling up dinner. And I really enjoyed the company of the owners dog. He came up while we were relaxing on the porch in the morning, said hello for a minute very politely before lying down on the opposite side of the porch, just looked over the balcony, enjoyed the view, chilled-- forgot he was even there until he came over to say goodbye then went on his way. It was very cute. There's a little gate you can close if you aren't too fond of dogs though. The location is really perfect too. Just far enough away from everything that you really feel like you're getting away and are surrounded by nothing but beautiful trees and nature but close enough to town that going to the store wasn't too much of an inconvenience. There's plenty of places to explore and walk around. Walked up a little ways to get a clear view of mount st helens while the sun set on the second night. Which I highly recommend, it was pretty incredible. Really my only complaint is that I can't move in. But again, I'll be back soon. Big thanks to the owners!

It was nice to get away from everything for a couple days, especially to a place where sometimes the only sound is JUST the breeze (and maybe one's heartbeat if pausing while walking uphill). Having the hot-tub right there on the back porch (under a roof) was wonderful, especially when it rained awhile. A couple times one of the resident dogs accompanied me on a walk; it was nice to have company. Just hiking out from the property, I was treated to some lovely scenic views (i.e. without having to drive). I enjoyed using the wood-stove; thanks to whoever chopped and stacked the wood. Hoping I'll go back with a great guy someday; it would definitely be a romantic getaway!

Glad you were able to have such a relaxing getaway! Look forward to your return visits.
